The types of rebars available in the market are simple and ribbed. Ten simple rebar is one of the types of rebar that is widely used in the construction industry and in various construction projects. In general, a rebar that does not have a tread is called a simple rebar. Regarding simple and ribbed rebars, we must say that they differ from each other in terms of characteristics and features.
Sale of simple rebar
In different countries, rebar steel is produced with different standards, and in each standard there is a specific classification related to the mechanical properties of steel. In Iran, most of the rebar steels produced by the Isfahan Iron and Steel Factory comply with the Russian standard. The steel produced in Iran (according to the Russian standard) is divided into three groups:
Steel type A-1, steel type A-2 and steel type A-3.
A-1 steel is of smooth type and its yield strength and tensile strength are 2400 and 3600 kg/cm2 respectively. A-2 steel is of ribbed type with yield strength of 3400 and tensile strength of 5000 kg/cm2, and A-3 steel is of ribbed type with yield strength of 4000 and tensile strength of 6000 kg/cm2.
In terms of the variety of the diameter of the rebars, the manufacturers’ standards are also different. In the Russian system, which is used in Isfahan iron smelting factories, rebars are made up to 40 mm in diameter.

Application of simple rebar
Simple rebar is widely used in industries, especially in the construction industry. One of the most used cases of simple rebar can be mentioned as round rebar in reinforced concrete structures. In fact, reinforced concrete buildings use simple rebar to reinforce the concrete to increase the tensile strength of the concrete. Each rebar has an identification sheet, whose diameter is written on this identification sheet. This diameter is called the nominal diameter. The diameter of simple rebars can be produced in diameters of 6 mm to 200 mm. Sometimes it has been seen that simple rebars are used as thermal rebars in the roofs of buildings, which must be said to be a complete mistake in execution and design and should not be done.
